mutesound

I created this program to use it with my shutdown manager switchmeoff.
You can tell switchmeoff to run a program when it performs an action like going to hibernation.
It is a simple console application: mutesound [m0|m1] [0-65535]

soundsetter

Windows is evil. When I switch off my PC into hibernation and turn it on again, my sound is very loud (because it was loud before!) and hangs if playing from network sources.
soundsetter sets the volume and/or mutes the sound when windows is exiting.
Now working on windows vista too.

brix insanity - beta

Also this game is famous. I originally know it as the game called arkanoid.
This time I wanted to get a taste of collision detection. The math behind it is actually very simple. Still it took hours to solve the bugs. There are so many exceptions in handling the collisions because of stones next to each other, edges of stones, etc... There might be easier ways doing it which I don't know.

My plan is to make the game good looking in the future, also with more levels to play (there are 35 for the moment). But I fear this will never happen because the main challenge is done.

Have fun playing it though! Please tell me any ideas you have, maybe there will be further versions!

mahjongg (german only)

This is another clone of the famous mahjongg solitaire game. It includes a lot of levels and there are two ways of playing it: the classical way or a point game with time limit. You can change backgrounds or tilesets and even create your own ones. Also a basic level editor is included. Press F1 for full screen mode.

switchmeoff beta v0.9.7(german only)

After a lot of years I tried to recreate my old shutdown manager. I still have an old backup of the project from the year 2001 or so. It is full of bugs and it was never finished.
The new version is done in dev-c++ without a visual designer. The layout looks still bad, but the functions should work. You can shutdown, reboot, logoff, hibernate, suspend, lock your pc, start a program after a specific time or simply show an alarm message, on selected dates or when a chosen program is started or ended. Also hotkeys are possible to connect with an action. Have fun using it.

JPEG Image Size Converter

I designed this program to resize photos and images for my homepage. It resizes all .jpeg and .jpg files from a directory into one or two images of different sizes. It can also create a file with a link to the image. This is basically for my own use only, just don't select this option if you don't want it.
This is my first C# program, any hints/ideas/bug reports/addons are welcome!

blurred v0.48

As I was too intrigued about the diffusion effect I tried to create many effects for the 'effect' screen saver. But soon I found out I could do something more complex on this subject, so I started a new project. 'blurred' is the result. Unfortunately you need a very fast computer to run the screen saver, and a good 3D card is recommended as well (GeForce, 1 GHz for average looking). If it runs too slow change the resolution, texture size and grid size! Please read the .txt file for more information.

I finally completed a linux port of 'blurred', it is available as standalone application (mainly for presets designing) and a version for the xscreensaver. For an installation guide read the 'blurred.txt' file.

effect v2 beta

Version 2 is the next generation of my screen saver. It includes the old animation and a few new: a tunnel and different diffusion effects. At the moment it's only a beta, but it should work fine. There will be some more animations/effects in the final release.

effect v1.01

'effect' is a very simple but nice OpenGL screen saver. It should run on all windows versions with acceptable frame rate (you need a 3D card of course). If the screen saver appears too slow try to change the resolution. And please tell me if you like this little effect!
